If you are reading this page you have taken the first step to considering whether counselling might be useful for you, your relationship or someone you care about. Well done for having the courage to consider engaging in counselling as I appreciate how hard it can be to take this first step.
Counselling is a way of gaining a greater understanding of how you are affected by issues relating to your circumstances. Through counselling you can explore your options and be supported to make your own choices.
I offer a safe confidential, non - judgemental environment that enables you to explore your current situation with a view to considering what changes you might like to make to move in a direction determined by you.
The modalities I utilise when working with individuals include but not limited to person centred, emotionally focused individual therapy, narrative, strength and solution focused therapy. The approach is determined by what is most useful for the person attending and the concern/s they present with.
Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is the modality I work within when working with couples. This is a research based therapy that has demonstrated significantly positive results for people engaged in this model of therapy. For further information please click on the link below.
I am a member of ICEEFT and NZCEFT
